September sees another addition to the Fastback family. We’re delighted to introduce Marc De Vuyst, our new Helpdesk agent. Software expert, multilingual and always ready for a challenge, discover Marc’s profile.
HIS CAREER
Marc began his training in audiovisual techniques at RITCS in Brussels. After graduating as a cameraman and video editor, he worked in the audiovisual sector for some fifteen years with the BRT and VTM television channels. There, he deepened his passion for technology and took charge of satellite transmission logistics.
Eager to embark on new adventures, he then changed sectors and discovered the hotel business. Alongside his wife, he became manager of a hotel where he cultivated a warm, family atmosphere.
Always on the lookout for new challenges, his career took a 180° turn. Marc turned to the IT sector. In particular, he explored ERP software, first in the HVAC sector, then in the funeral industry. Throughout his career in business management software, Marc has worn two hats: helpdesk expert and salesman. This enables him to draw on both human and technical skills.
His goal: to satisfy customer requests and help them along their journey. Skills and objectives he has brought with him to Fastback.
WHY FASTBACK?
Perfectly at ease with technical software, Marc totally recognized himself in our job offer for a new helpdesk agent. So he took the plunge and applied. There were two reasons why he decided to join the Fastback family.
On the one hand, he wanted to reconnect with the electronics technology sector that had attracted him during his humanities studies. Secondly, it was the family aspect of our company that convinced Marc. Our young and dynamic team guarantees him a unique atmosphere in the office.
A DUAL ROLE AT FASTBACK
As a helpdesk agent, Marc juggles two areas he knows well: technical and commercial.
– Software specialist: Marc is the expert on our software for car dealers and dealerships. His job is to know our software inside out, so he can help our customers and partners from behind the screen.
– Mediator: drawing on his experience as a salesman, Marc plays the role of mediator between seller and buyer. He takes care to listen carefully to both parties, so as to reach an agreement in the event of a problem.
HIS STRENGTHS WITHIN THE TEAM
On a daily basis, Marc is driven by a single phrase: “Never be afraid”. A keen equestrian, this Luxembourg native feels at ease in a job that keeps him moving and challenging himself. That’s why he sees every unfamiliar situation as an opportunity to learn more about his job and enrich his many years of helpdesk expertise.
On top of this, Marc is a valuable asset thanks to his polyglot hat. He speaks fluent French, Dutch, English and German. Our new employee also stands out for his speed of action. Confident, he is able to make decisions quickly to facilitate our users’ experience.
